It’s hard to think of one band that has influenced me more than Dream Theater. I was very upset when Portnoy decided to call it quits – his drumming and overall showmanship completed the DT experience. But, having watched the albeit dramatized drummer audition videos, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about Mangini’s prospects with Dream Theater. His style is so natural, fluid and expressive. JP kills it as usual!

Sridhar feat Dave Martone – While my Guitar Gently weeps
Really, couldn’t believe it until it happened. The virtuoso sent in his solos my adaptation of the timeless Harrison classic, While my Guitar gently weeps.
Martone’s albums have been a huge inspiration for all my guitar driven work. What an honour! Listen for absolutely stunning arpeggio work, along with the ambient violinesque layers playing allthrough the song.
